A prefix is the rank name you'll see in chat inside of [brackets]. Contributors have a custom prefix.
Note: Sometimes we have to disable a plugin if it becomes incompatible with our servers. If there's a command here you're suppose to have but can't use, that might be the case. Try asking on the forums to see if it is disabled.
